James E. (Jim) Haines, age 86, of Hilliard, passed away Thursday August 6, 2009 at The Carriage Court. He served in the Marines during WWII and Korea received the Distinguished Flying Cross and numerous other medals and awards. He was a pilot for the Ohio Highway Patrol and retired from the Department of Transportation Office of Aviation. He was also a member of the American Legion, Professional Pilots Association and the Masonic Lodge. He is preceded in death by sister, Tessa Mae Blank. He is survived by loving wife, Jeanne Haines; children, Sandra Jeanne Minton, Michael J. Haines, and Lynne Marie Haines; sister; Janet Donegan; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held August 11, 2009 at The Middleburg Cemetery in Middleburg, OH.
