\"\"<\/a>Carl E. Hagley \u201cHiner\u201d, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at his residence.<\/p>\n

Carl was born on January 4, 1934 to the late Carl L. Hagley and Marie K. Balduf Hagley. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ruth Ann. He is also survived by his children, Kim Brinkman, Brad Hagley and Kurt Hagley; grandchildren, Holly, Marci, Staci, Cristi, Graham, Thomas, Anna, Amanda and Ian; great-grandchildren, Kamyrn, Annalise, Savannah and Khimera. Carl is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Bobbi and Paul Strasser.<\/p>\n

A loving husband, father and grandfather who had a twinkle in his eye until God called him home. The ravages of Alzheimer\u2019s claimed a wonderful man, but didn\u2019t keep him out of the cookie jar! Hiner\u2019s leadership and knowledge was appreciated by all who knew him. He was considered by most as a jack-of-all trades and they were right! Hiner was most happiest when he served others. A love of country, fairness and depth of character were three attributes that most defined Hiner. Hiner was a fearsome high school\/college football player, a need for speed on his motorcycle, bomber to dignitary to helicopter pilot and self taught computer programmer. In his later years he enjoyed his grandchildren and working on his dream home in the country. Now his wings have taken him home. \u201cIs that you I see looking at me? Va Va Voom, Kapow!\u201d<\/p>\n

A Private Memorial Service will be held at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. Contributions in Carl Hagley\u2019s memory may be made to the Alzheimer\u2019s Association of Central Ohio, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, Oh 43215 or a charity of the donor\u2019s choice.
