Fred Hope, (PPA #150) passed away Saturday, February 15 at age 60. A career pilot since 1962, Fred was past president of the Professional Pilots Association and had been a senior line captain for Wolf Industries during the 1980s. He also held positions as flight department director for both the Limited Corporation and the Minster Machine Company.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, children and grandchildren. Well known for his sense of humor, Fred was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and competitive skeet shooting. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a nephew of entertainer Bob Hope.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 19, 2003 5pm-8pm at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Highway (State Rt 501) in Wapakoneta, Ohio. The funeral will be at 10am Thursday, February 20, 2003 at the United Methodist Church also in Wapakoneta Ohio.

HOPE Fred C. Hope, 60, of Huntsville, Oh., died Sunday, February 16, 2003 at the OSU Hospitals in Columbus.
He was born January 7, 1943 in Ridgeville Corners, Oh., a son of Sidney and Dorothy (Davis) Hope. On June 22, 1985 he married Sharon Slusser Kintsle, who survives. Also survived by son, Fred C. Hope III of Columbus, Oh.; daughter, Elizabeth (John) Livingston of Marysville, Oh.; son, David (Tonya) Hope of Austin, Tex.; son, Michael (Chris) Kintsle of New Knoxville, Oh.; daughter, Deb (David) Kelley of Westerville, Oh.; 5 grandchildren; brother, Leslie (Sandra) Hope of Dublin, Oh.; sister, Dorothy (Bill) Parker of Bryan, Oh.; sister, Avis (Bill) Truska of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sister, Margo (Dave) Garver of Bellville, Oh.; uncle, Bob (Delores) Hope of Hollywood, Calif.
Attend The Ohio State University in Columbus. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Employed as a professional jet pilot for The Columbus Dispatch and WBNS Radio in Columbus. Member of Professional Pilots’ Association of
America. Avid fisherman.
Funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church in Wapakoneta. The Rev. G. Richard Bell will officiate. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
