WIEMER James M. “Jim” Wiemer, age 80, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009. God gave Jim (Dad) a second set of wings and he is soaring with the eagles.
Retired MSgt. U.S. Air Force serving with the Marines and the Air Force for 23 1/2 years both at home and overseas. Jim was active with the FAA as a flight and written test examiner and in Civil Air Patrol.
Preceded in death by his parents Owen and Elma Wiemer, sister Joyce Miller and granddaughter Holly. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 33 years, Petey Wiemer; children, Jami (Steve) Newton, Joy Lyn (Mike) Tolliver and James (Christine) Wiemer, Jr.; step-daughters, Kathy Good, Beverlee Carmichael, Kelly Lewis and Misty Lowery; many grandchildren; brothers, Jack (Janet), Jan (Shelley), and Jon (Barb) Wiemer; sister, Jenny (Randy) Bond; many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service 1 p.m. Monday, October 12 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Joy was Jim’s special angel who fought every hour and day for Dad, regardless of how big or small the issue and thanks to Jenna for taking care of Ishi and the house.
