BORMUTH Wilbur C. “Phil” Bormuth, 84, died Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at his residence. Funeral 4 p.m. Tuesday at Blessing Colonial Chapel. Burial 2 p.m. Tuesday in D-FW National Cemetery, lane A.
Phil was born in Rawson, OH, November 7, 1920, the son of Harvey J. and Ora C. Traucht Bormuth. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served during World War II. He was a pilot for several corporations, retiring after 30 years of service. Mr. Bormuth also served as an instructor at IATA in Arlington, Aero-Tech in Dallas and Braniff International. Phil was a member of the American Legion, Lions Club, Quiet Birdmen, Professional Pilots Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, OX-5 Club and the AMA.
Survivors: wife, Frances L. Bormuth of Arlington; children, Sabrina Patterson of Arlington, Larry Bormuth of Colorado Springs, CO, Jeffery J. Bormuth of Columbus, OH, David D.
