Richard A. “Ric” Harris, age 55, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 10, 2006. A graduate of West High School, Class of 1969. The General Administrative Manager with the Columbus Fair Auto Auction. An Aeronautical Engineer, Ric was a pilot with the Auto Auction, Borden Co., Cooper Aviation and Williams Aviation. An avid golfer, boater, and his son’s most enthusiastic sports fan.
Preceded in death by his parents Art and Shirley Harris. Survived by his considerably older wife of 17 “glorious” years, Mary; daughter, Annie (Bryon) Wheatley; son, Michael; granddaughters, Samantha Welsh, Brianna Wheatley and Shelby Wheatley; brother, Rod Harris; dear friend, Bill Fieger.
Friends will be received Tuesday and Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. The funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2006. Cremation to follow the service.
